Teatox Tuesday!

Week one of my teatox is done!
This morning I weighed in at 174 :(
I've been counting calories and haven't drank soda! I still have a cup of coffee in the mid morning. I've noticed that I have a tiny bit more energy. This has not surpressed my cravings for sweets. I eat 4-5 small meals a day with 1 or 2 snacks and I just always feel hungry. I haven't been eating junk. Lots of fruits and veggies. So far I am not very impressed. Yesterday I started a little at home work out. Maybe incorporating that will help give me that extra boost! Also once the weather stays nice and the snow melts off the trails in our town my husband and I will be walking or running daily! Although I haven't actually lost any weight I do feel skinnier. Does that even make sense haha? It does to me! I feel as though my belly has gotten smaller. Maybe all the water weight and bloating has gone away? It is a little discouraging to not see a lower weight but I will continue!
Xoxo!

Teatox Tuesday!

I am finally starting my Skinny Teatox! I pushed it off a few weeks because starting a diet during PMS week seemed impossible! Every Tuesday for the next 4 weeks I will update you on my results/feelings on this!
This comes in a 7 days, 14 day and 28 day cleanse.
I got the 28 day cleanse!

The daytime tea is supposed to give you a steady supply of energy, boost your metabolism and helps suppress cravings for sweets. The day time is a loose leaf tea, you will need tea bags or a tea steeper. This is meant to be drunk in the morning or throughout the afternoon.

The night time tea is the cleanse part. This does contain senna which is a natural laxative. Similar to a colon cleanse this will flush your system of all the toxins! The night time tea comes already in tea bags and it to be drunk every other night!

My weight today is 174 lbs.
UGH!

I took a picture of my body today and will post that on day 28 with a picture of my body that day so if you follow my journey you will get to see the before and after results!
I will let you know weekly what my weightloss is (if any) and how the tea is making me feel.

For optimal results you are supposed to incorporate this with a healthy diet and exercise.
I will be counting my calories. No soda. 1 coffee per day and atleast 8 glasses of water. I will also be doing either an at home workout or walking/running depending on the weather!

I am terrible with diets and motivation but I think I've hit my rock bottom with my fatness lol. I am so unhappy with the way that I look. I am used to weighing 135-140lbs. I am still holding all my baby weight from when I gave birth in November. It isn't just a weightloss journey either. I really want to be healthier and have more energy. I feel like i'm just barely chugging along everyday. I just want to sleep and lay around. I'm tired of being tired!!

Join me on my journey! Let me know if you have tried this tea and what your thoughts are if you have! Also let me know what diets/exercise plans you follow!

xoxo
Wish me luck!

Colour Pop Lippie Stix!

Who has heard of Colour Pop Cosmetics? I am obsessed with Kathleen Lights on YouTube and she created a lip color them, which is how I heard about this brand. I recently received my first order and instantly fell in love! Today lets talk about the lippie stix I got. I ordered three colors, each color is of course a matte finish! These go on so smooth! The shape makes them super easy to apply! Each lippie stix also has a matching lip pencil (or almost all do). But I never wear lip liners so I didn't order any. They don't have a bad smell and I think the packaging is super cute! I got Lumiere (to support Kathleen Lights), the color Grind and Cookie. They are not drying on the lips and you can get a few hours wear out of them! Did I mention they are only FIVE dollars?!? Super affordable!

Grind, Lumiere and Cookie

Cookie which is the most perfect nude!

I also bought a blush and 3 shadows! Stay tuned for those!

Jaclyn Hill inspired!

If you open the dictionary and search for the word slacker I think my picture is there as the definition! I have not felt like myself for atleast 3 weeks. I am always tired. I'm usually up around 7:30 but lately all i want to do is sleep and even when I do sleep in I just want to sleep more. I haven't been doing my makeup at all i'm just so blah! The skin around my nose has also been so dry because i've been sick so I haven't wanted to makeup my face. I've been munching on ice a lot so I'm wondering if I might be slighty anemic again. That would explain my tiredness. Anyways I wanted to post something because I sat down and was inspired by Jaclyn Hill's Valentines day makeup tutorial! She did a light pink lip but since I've been slacking on the makeup challenge I thought I could incorporate that. The challenge is bright which is why I went with this lip instead!
My eyes are the Tartelette palette! Lips is Maybelline matte in 'Fainting for Fuchsia'!
I've been on the hunt for an old desk I can refinish into a vanity! No luck thus far. Hubby and I are going to head to Jubilee tonight and fingers crossed there will be one! Once I've got my own space and room for all my stuff I'll be doing more with my blog! Its kind of an annoyance because I have no room and everything is so unorganized!
Who else loves Jaclyn Hill?! She is one of my favorites! Hope you guys enjoy the look! Hers is a million times better but I tried that's all that matters!
What are your plans for Valentines day? I believe my husband and I are just going out to dinner! Nothing fancy!

New favorite foundations!

Hey love
bugs!

Today's makeup challenge is sunset!
Here the is look I created!

I used my Milani bella eyeshadows! I tend to smoke out the outer v so today I decided to darken the inner part of my eye! When I picture the sunset I think of the summer time, when the sky goes from pink and orange to deep blue!

I've got Wet N Wild's "just peachy" on my lip!

Hope you like!

I tried the Maybellline fit me foundation when it first came out. At that time I didn't know about skin types and what worked with what, so I bought it and hated it. I have oily skin so it was terrible on me! I couldn't wait to get my hands on the matte and poreless! My CVS and Walmart are always so late to get everything but I finally got my hands on it and I love it so much! The only thing I don't like is how fast it drys so you must blend it out super fast! The coverage is great. It doesn't feel cakey or heavy! I got mine in 112 natural ivory and I just got the translucent powder to set it with!

My new FAVORITE foundation is Urban Decay Naked Skin. This makes my face look flawless! This is my first high end foundation definitely worth the extra money! I got the liquid and I also got the powder foundation! I watched a ton of reviews and a bunch said your skin looks even more flawless when you set this foundation with the foundation powder. It is medium coverage but can be built up to have full coverage! It feels so light. It honestly feels like there is nothing on my face! It is just AMAZING! I am so happy with it! The liquid is $39 and I believe the powder is $36! Again well worth the money!

The powder foundation comes in this super cute bag!

This compact is very light weight! I thought it was going to be heavy but its not at all!

If you are looking for a flawless face I recommend both of these foundations! Revlon color stay has been my favorite for years but I think these top that!

What's your favorite foundation? Drugstore and/or high end!

Back from the Dead!

Hey loveys!!

I'm back! And I've got a TON to share!

Last week was just not a good week for me. PMS to the max and I did not want to do a thing. I was so tired, so grumpy and my face was horrible with break outs so I thought I'd give it time to breathe!

I bought my FIRST high end makeup product the other day and I wanted to share my thoughts on it!

The Tartelette palette by Tarte!

It is an all matte eyeshadow palette!

I love the packaging! I think the colors are so so pretty!
It is about 5 inches by 4 inches

The colors are all pretty neutral.
This picture was taken with flash, I wanted this palette for the pinky color but on me it does not look pinky at all so I was a tad disappointed.

Top Row
free spirit, force of nature, dreamer, multi-tasker

Second Row
caregiver, natural beauty, bestfriend, bombshell

Bottom Row
super mom, wanderer, power player, fashionista

These shadows are so smooth and blend very easily.
I love them. On a day to day basis I gravitate toward neutral colors so this is perfect for me! and I am all about that matte life, alll matte everything ;)
The black is kind of patchy but all the other colors glide on!

Today I used super mom all over my lid up to my brow, force of nature as my transition shade, multi tasker on the outer v and a bit in my crease and then did the same with fashionista to deepen it up!
My lower lash line is a gorgeous pink color from a new nyx shadow palette I got last night!
You'll see that later this week ;)

Lips I'm wearing my new NYX soft matte lip creme in sydney

If you didn't already know...I took a trip to Ulta! Got so many goodies and I can not wait to share them this week!

A little tiny update on other things going on!
We have failed at the plank challenge! We were doing so good and then last weekend we just got lazy! I also relapsed and after 27 days had a soda! BUT I have not gone back to drinking it all the time. We actually have Coke in the fridge and I haven't had any! Leonidus and Weston went to the doctor last week and are both healthy boys!  We also sized up with our gauges so I'm up to an 8! I attempted to bleach my hair to a white blonde but failed so I had to dye back over it :( I usually have no issues when I do my own hair but this time did not end well in my favor!

xoxo
Tomorrow I'll be reviewing two new foundations!
I will also start up where I left off on the makeup challenge!!!

Hope you enjoyed!

Made it Monday!

Hello lovebugs! Did you miss me?
How was everyone's weekend?

We got snow! ugh! Saturday we were up and outside shoveling by 8 am! Built a tiny little hill next to our fence so the kids on the block could sled a little bit! Then a few hours later we took our boys and 2 of my sons friends and we went sledding in 3 different places! It was a lot of fun! Like every other day we had a house full of kids! My son has this one friend, who has a sister and a few cousins. Well they are at our house everyday for hours, from the time they get home from school (3:45ish) until about 9pm. Sometimes is it very annoying but these kids have parents who just don't care. I gave the little girl a pair of brown boots I got myself for Christmas that I never even wore, because she's walking around in slippers, in the snow. The mommy in me comes out and I would much rather know they are safe in my house than wondering around the streets. The girls don't even have good winter coats, they are just always wearing hoodies. I just don't know what to do? Anyone have any advice? I don't mind most days but some days it is just way to much! On Sunday my son and I went to the Humane Society so he could read to the cats! Why? They have this little volunteer program for kids k-5th grade. If a child isn't the best at reading and gets nervous to read in the class because they don't want to get made fun of this allows them to read to an audience who doesn't judge them and just needs attention! Now Bren is the top reader in his class but I love cats and am unable to have them due to my husband being allergic! It doesn't hurt to have him read extra and we get to give these animals the attention they don't get often! It was wonderful!

Let's get to the part that everyone has been impatiently waiting to see all weekend ;)

My DIY!

I made some DIY makeup palettes.
All I needed was cardboard, magnetic sheets, magnetic tape, scrissors, fancy paper and glue! I wanted to do a picture tutorial so you could see the steps I followed but I didn't follow anything specific. I saw it on pinterests looked at the pictures and then went from there! The first one I made I tore apart because I hated it! I did two different ones!

This is the second one I did because I had some stuff left over and tried this out.

I took a cd case, took the cd out, covered the bottom with a magnetic sheet, glued plan paper over the back to cover up the ugly bottom of the magnetic sheet and then cut some cute paper to size and put it in the front!

Here is what the front looks like!

Here is the inside!

and here is a picture of the back~

This was soooooo easy. If you have cd cases sitting around just taking up space put them to use!
The paper was $.59 at Michaels, I bought two 5x8 magentic sheets in a pack at Walmart for $1.97! Super cheap as well!

This is the other one I did!
I first cut 3 pieces of cardboard. 7in x 10 inches! Two of these are used as the covering. I then took my fancy paper and covered the cardboard! Because there was space left over that wasn't covered and I wanted to cover the lines I added a piece of paper with a different print to cover that! I took the 3rd piece of card board and cut that out to look like a frame and covered that with the same paper I used on the inside. This is the frame that goes around the magnet and kind of protects the makeup you add! Put the magnetic sheet in and then poked holes and added ribbon to bind it together. I didn't know how to bind it together because the other one I made that I threw away didn't turn out right when I tried the other method.

This one has my bronzers, highlight and my Milani bella eyeshadows!
(first time ever depotting as well)

How did I do? I love them! They aren't perfect but so cute! A lot cheaper than buying them! And who doesn't love doing things themself and being creative!

I know my little talk through is terrible. I am horrible at explaining things, especially when I just do it without following any steps!

If this inspires you and you make one, I want to see!

Stay tuned for a small product review tomorrow and I will also being getting back into my makeup challenge! Tomorrows challenge is EXTREME!

Hi beauties! I know I said i'd be gone a few days but I just had to post today! I'll take the weekend off ;)

Today's makeup challenge was MATTE!

I didn't take a bunch of pictures but everything I used was matte!

These bella eyes gel powder eyeshadows are my favorite! I got 6 more on my shopping trip yesterday! I used bella mandarin, bella cappuccino and bella epresso!

I used my new Maybelline Fit Me matte and poreless foundation and powder! I went to 3 different CVS's yesterday to find this! And with the BOGO 50% off and extra care bucks I only paid $7.88 for both!
On my lips I have a new NYX matte lipstick in 'butter' such a gorgeous brownie nude!

A little peek at what I bought yesterday! I found 7 of the Wet N Wild matte lipsticks I don't have! BOGO 50% off!

Has anyone tried the Salon Perfect brow gel?! It is amazing! SO creamy goes on so smooth and a little goes such a long way! I mean that, the first time I tried it I gave myself chubaca brows! People are saying it is a dupe for the Anastasia brow stuff! This is only $4.88 at Walmart! Check it out if you haven't!!

Once these babes go down for a nap I'm going to start my DIY! I'd like to get as much done as possible because it's supposed to snow tomorrow and we will be going sledding!!! and I'm just so excited! I was going to tell you guys what the DIY is but i'm just going to keep you guessing!

I've got a bunch of fun things coming next week so keep checking back!

xoxo!

Who else is going to be getting snow this weekend? What are your plans? Tell me if you have any of these products and if you love em! or if you see something and are planning on getting it I want to know!!!

Hello beauties!
Happy Hump Day!

 Today's makeup challenge was colorful!!!

I actually really like the look I came up with, I don't know that its something I would wear on the regular but its so much fun!

I started with a lime green in the inner corner of my eye, added a teal color to the middle and a darker blue to the outside. Then added purple in my crease and bottom lash line! Very simple!

And of course my favorite lippie to rock!

I've got a few things planned for the next couple of days! I'm going to be busy with some DIY's! and I think I am also going to do a first impression/review! Try not to miss me too much if i'm gone the next 2 possibly 3 days! Doing a little makeup shopping tomorrow! I am so excited, a little present for passing my boards!

The boys have a doctors appointments tomorrow night! Shots for 2 of them, my house is going to be filled with happy children! I can't wait.
NOT!

Signature look!

Today's makeup challenge is 'your signature look'. I feel as though a signature look is a "go to" look. Something you never get tired of and something you do when you don't feel like coming up with anything. The look you've masters and always find yourself going back to! That for me is my winged out liner and bright lip, nude lip, ANY lip! I paired it with a purple lip today! This is just the perfect look. It can be worn with any outfit, any hair style, any lippie, lashes, no lashes. I personally prefer a thicker bolder wing and I've become addicted to lashes, so i don't leave home without 'em!

You can smoke it out, you can do a colorful wing, a thin wing, a double wing, any type of wing is so simple yet so put together!

Ignore my hair per usual!

I will be 85, still rockin' my winged liner and wearing purple lipstick!

What is your signature or go to look! and what make up item can't you leave the house without?! I'd say lashes and brows are mine. Up until the last month I never realized the importance of a good brow! I've got barely there brows and short stubby lashes! BUT I also love my lippies!

Okay! Top 3 items you won't leave the house without!

Hope you enjoyed!

xoxo!

Also I think I'm half way done with the makeup challenge so start letting me know certain looks you want me to recreate or things you'd like to know about me, favorite products, hair, skin! ANYTHING!

Did you miss me?

Hello Beauties!!!
Did you miss me? How was everyone's weekend?

I had a very very exciting weekend! If you read my last blog post than you know that Saturday was one of the most important days of my life! 10:45am I was scheduled to take my NCLEX! Which is the state test to get your nursing license! I graduated nursing school in June 2012! Took my NCLEX July 2013 and failed, then retested on Saturday and....PASSED! I am officially an LPN! It still doesn't feel real! I think once my actual license in the mail!

Since I didn't clean the house top to bottom last weekend like I wanted it to, I spent my sunday cleaning every inch of the house! Then made some homemade stir fry that was delicious, if only my husband wasn't so picky and could enjoy the meals I come up with!

I didn't do any makeup challenge looks over the weekend, so I started off my Monday with a makeup challenge! Todays look...Barbie!!! I don't have a wig or long blonde barbie hair, so just pretend my hair looks more like barbies does!

How did I do?

Tonight will be our 17th day doing the plank challenge! It's getting harder and harder! Were up to 2 minutes :/ I don't know how I will ever make it to 4 and a half minutes! I am also 2 weeks without soda! This is the longest I've ever gone with out it! It's so hard but I know my body will appreciate it!

xoxo!

Fabulous Friday! Happy Weekend Ya'll!

Hope you're having a fabulous Friday!!

Today's makeup challenge was CONTOUR! This was so much fun for me because I don't ever contour my whole face! I usually throw a little bronzer under my cheek bones just to make them pop a tad more. I don't even know if i did this right! This was my first attempt at contouring everything! Hope you enjoy!

Here's a tiny step by step:

I didn't prime my face because after this is posted i'll be taking a shower and washing it all. I just threw on some of my E.L.F. BB Cream. Then I put concealer in the areas I wanted to highlight. I used Glamouflage which was a terrible idea because it made me super greasy! But it brightens up my skin more than my others! Then I used a brown eye shadow threw it on areas I wanted to contour, blended it out and added bronzer on those same spots and blended that out as well. Just kept adding bronzer and brown eye shadow until I got to what I think looks good!

Pictures of my step by step!

The before and after!

Can we please not talk about my 5 day non brushed hair!

Lips are Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in 210 'Unapologetic'!

How did I do? I think for my first attempt I did pretty well! What do you all use to contour and highlight!

Can you guess what tomorrow is? I am so anxious/excited/giddy but so unbelievably nervous! Wish me luck on my NCLEX! Hopefully after tomorrow I will be Janice Torres, LPN!

xoxo!

Talk through Thursday!

I thought today i'd do a "talk through"! Tell you what I did for my makeup challenge look as well as the products I used!

GLITTER! was todays challenge!

I start with a clean moisturized face!

First I prime my eyes using Hard Candy eyeshadow primer.

Then while that dries I like to prime my face! Today I used Dr. Brandt pores no more primer. I do this step so my primer really has time to set into my face while I do my eye makeup!

I took the first shadow from my revealed palette and put that all over my lid up to my brow.

Then I took this light  brown color from the same palette and threw that in my crease and tiny bit above.

I put this dark brown my my e.l.f. palette all over my lid and blended slightly into my crease.

This is a gold glitter from Wet N Wild, it's sticky and I just put that on top of the dark brown all over my lid using my finger.

On my already primed face I applied my Rimmel Stay Matte foundation with my small stippling brush from e.l.f

Hard Candy's glamoflauge under my eyes, blended out with my finger.

Set everything with NYC's translucent powder using my complexion brush from e.l.f.

Took this bronzed color from my e.l.f. palette and just threw that under my cheek bones to make them stand out a tiny bit more.

Then took this bronzey, pinky, peachy color and popped that on my cheeks. I love this color once on my cheeks its this really soft rosy pink color!

Then brow time. First I outline and fill in with the NYC brow/liner in taupe, brush it out with the old mascara wand, then I add some wax from this NYC brow kit and finally add on some of the brown brow powder. I like the texture is gives. I feel like it makes my brows look "realer" .

Next i throw on mascara and my favorite lashes!

I highlight the bridge of my nose, cupids bow and tops of my cheek bones using moonlight pearls by e.l.f.

Todays lips are 'San Paulo" from the Soft matte lip creme collection by NYX. This is a really pretty rosy pink. With flash it looks brighter than what it really is.

Ignore my messy not brushed 4 day old hair!

But check out my favorite sweater! MEOW ;)

Hope you enjoyed! Any questions just comment down below! Also let me know if you would like me to do this more often! Just so you can see what I use and how I use them!

XOXO!
